What is the Disc Golf Hall of Fame?

The disc golf hall of fame is an independent organization dedicated to the promotion of disc golf, its premier pioneers and players. Inductees are selected by the membership and introduced at the PDGA Awards Ceremony/DGHOF Induction Ceremony. The celebration takes place at the site of the PDGA World Championships.

  • Who is in the Hall of Fame?

From the Hall of Fame Charter:

Hall of Fame inductees shall be judged to fit the following standards: Favorable standing and an honorable reputation within the disc golf community.

  • When was the Hall of Fame founded?

Lavone Wolfe of Huntsville Alabama founded the institution in 1993. He was the Chairman of the first Board of Directors. He also created the Hall of Fame Museum, a collection of memorabilia that help describe the history of our sport.

  • Where is the Hall of Fame Museum?

The museum is displayed at major tournaments and will have a home at the Augusta National Disc Golf Center

  • How are Hall of Famers nominated?

Members of the Hall of Fame nominate members of the disc golf community. Disc Golf fans add one nominee to the final ballot by voting for the People's Choice Nomination selection.
